When it's time to decide whether to meet your international pen pals or not?
How much time should the correspondence between the international pen pals take before they will be ready to meet each other? But there is one more question, actually, whether each of the international pen pals is worth meeting?
Sometimes people start looking for pen pals with the purpose of improving their low self-evaluation.
On the one hand, it looks like an attempt to overcome their shyness because of which they avoid meeting people in practice. In fact, it's much easier for them to write letters and communicate online without looking their interlocutor in the eye then to be seen as they are by nature.
On the other hand, communication on the Internet let people the chance to show their advantages and to hide their shortcomings. Is it actually good or bad? Whether it can be considered to be a way of displaying hypocrisy?
Isn't it a kind of deception?
As often happens, pen pals can turn out to be rather different from what you expected. According to that another question should be answered, namely, with what sort of difference between a "virtual person" and a "real one" we deal?
Why it must be bad when a plain person that used to be our pen pal in the past happens to be a very charming and sociable person. In this case we should be glad to find the right person among the international pen pals at last understanding that we were lucky to meet an interesting friend.
Otherwise, it might be better to remain just pen pals.
