A Russian bride and a German marriage contract
Veronica - a 40-year-old Irkutsk lady - did not despair of finding her lifetime partner. She went in for sport actively and enjoyed hiking on a regular basis. One day, when hiking on the Baikal lake, her group encountered bad weather: a real storm had broken out. Next to their camp, there were tourists from abroad, almost unprepared for the severe Siberian climate: they hardly had any warm clothing. Veronica did not give it a second thought: she offered her warm sweater to an intelligent-looking German, who was very touched. Reinhard had a pretty good knowledge of Russian, and an affair with the Russian bride (who, by the way, was nine years older than him) flared up. In a month the couple departed for Berlin.
At first, Veronica's fiancé was much surprised by her thrift and ability to do everything. He was completely defeated when, as the fall had arrived, she took several baskets and went to the country to collect mushrooms - no one would think of doing that in Germany. He had a good laugh when he saw her once having some cat food for breakfast: she thought it was some dried product.
For her turn, the Russian bride was quite astonished when she saw streets washed with soap, dogs walked in specially allocated places, and clothes and dishes at home washed with special machines, not manually. However, the greatest surprise was yet to come. They decided to get married, and Reinhard prepared a marriage contract, the conditions of which made Veronica gasp. Apart from the standard articles, there was a statement about mandatory fulfillment of sexual responsibilities not less than two times a week, a requirement of going to the theater every 15 days, a list of products that Veronica should use and so on. A fine was due for being unfaithful or for refusing to make love. Yet, the marriage took place.
